The Millburn-Short Hills Democratic Committee is currently seeking Democrats interested in running for Millburn Township Committee for the 2020 election cycle.
"The Millburn Democratic Committee is proud to have successfully supported candidates who are committed to serving our community," said Millburn Democratic Chair Annette Romano. "We're looking forward to interviewing candidates for this year's crucial elections," she continued.
After an interview process, the Committee will choose two Democrats to run on the Democratic Organization line. The Millburn Democratic Party is a big tent -- all Democrats are welcome to seek the party's endorsement. The mission of the Democratic Committee is to support and elect Democrats.
"Local elections are more important than ever," said Romano. "The local Democratic Party, our volunteers, district leaders and candidates help lay a strong foundation of support for Democratic candidates at the top of the ticket, including our congressman, Rep. Tom Malinowski," Romano continued.
In 2018, Millburn delivered 6,239 votes for Congressman Malinowski, helping propel him to a critical victory in flipping the House of Representatives to Democratic control.
The winners of the November election will serve a three-year term on the Committee beginning on January 1, 2021.
